A peanut butter banana pop is everything you love in a fudgesicle but done in a way that makes you feel like you are honoring your healthiest aspirations for eating right. The smooth and creamy texture is divine. The combination of bananas and peanut butter aspires to match made in heaven status.

And, yes, you can enjoy it with a smile on your face because it is still indeed a health food treat. Peanut butter provides more protein and bananas add plenty of potassium and other crucial minerals and vitamins, including vitamin C.

Don’t forget the fiber!

Honestly, dessert snacks are not supposed to be this healthy. I am pretty sure it needs special permission to even be called a “sweet treat”.

Keep Cool With Peanut Butter Banana Pops

You can find molds for making popsicles at the grocery store or the dollar store. Even if you can’t find that perfect shaped mold, then don’t worry. You can get away with doing it the old fashioned way by using paper cups.

The popsicle sticks are found in the baking aisle or by where the kitchen utensils are sold. You can even find those in craft stores. But if you can’t find them, then again, don’t sweat it. You can always use either plastic spoons or knives to function as the handy handle of the popsicle.

Can’t Do Dairy?

Yes, I have yogurt and milk in this recipe but that doesn’t mean you have to go there. If you want a suitable alternative that is either vegan or just lactose free, then go with a “yogurt” made from almond or coconut milk.

Either one of those will not disappoint and will actually add another flavor dimension as well. So it won’t be sacrificing any of the pleasure.

Your banana peanut butter pop will still be just as creamy and delicious… even without having anything close to actual cream involved in the making of this picture perfect popsicle.

Peanut Butter Out Of The Question?

Well, keep trying to talk yourself out of having one of these why don’t you? Don’t let a peanut butter allergy stop you. Just don’t use peanut butter. I don’t want anyone to die from eating something so delicious.

So, if you can find cashew butter that definitely hasn’t been processed in a place which also processed peanuts then you are back in action.

Cashews and peanuts are not nuts, but that is about all they have in common. Peanuts grow in the ground. Cashews are a seed that grows on the outside of a type of apple. It is nuts that they are considered nuts but that is the world we live in. Get used to it.

Keep That Banana In Your Ear

What? Come again…

Use those ripe bananas…

I can’t hear you. Could you repeat that…

KEEP THOSE RIPE BANANAS!

Ok, I know you heard me that time because I resorted to all caps. Keep those extra ripe bananas. A super ripe banana isn’t rotten. It is just ready to use in a peanut butter banana pop, or banana bread, or bananas foster cheesecake bars, or any other banana recipe.

Dress Your Peanut Butter Banana Pop Up

If you are up for it, there is always an opportunity to dress up the banana peanut butter pop if you are in the mood. If you have some sprinkles handy then dip the tip or fully coat the bar in your favorite sprinkles.

I am pretty sure chocolate qualifies as a health food too right?

  1. These look so so so good! I love the sprinkle of chocolate chips!

  2. I’m going to have to look for that salsa. It sounds amazing. I think I’ll also start buying those little water flavoring things for Hubby. I like water just like it is and am not really a fan of kool-aid type drinks, but he loves them. I’m definitely seeing Dudette all over the popsicles this summer. Peanut butter and chocolate ice cream is her favorite combination. I might have to buy that chocolate coating and pour it over the peanut butter popsicles after their frozen. Hmmmmm.

  3. It had been over 80 here for a week and I am not okay with it. I want a longer spring! Guess I’ll have to dive into ice cream already haha.

  4. I’ve got to try that cranberry-lemonade! And make these Popsicles. I’m a peanut butter and chocolate fiend!
